Polycom Checklist

This checklist should be used to confirm your receipt of all the materials you will need to use the POLYCOM ViewStation SP. You should have received this checklist when you signed out the POLYCOM ViewStation SP from ITS. Make sure you have each of these items. If you find that something is missing or broken, you should immediately contact ITS.

You can also obtain the Quickstart document from the ITS Videoconferencing web site, which offers a simple explanation of how to set up and operate the Polycom SP.

1. ViewStation SP Unit
Perhaps the most critical item on the list. Please handle with care. Further description of the device and how to use it are located in the "Quickstart" guide. ViewStation SP Unit
2. Digital Microphone Unit
The microphone pod provides omni-directional digital audio input, automatic gain control, noise suppression, echo cancellation, and a mute button. Digital Microphone Unit
3. Power Supply unit and cord
The ViewStation SP SCEPTRE power supply supports line voltages between 100V and 240V or 50Hz and 60Hz. Power Supply unit and cord
4. The Remote Control
The remote control is an integral part of the unit. You will use it to highlight and select icons that appear on the monitor as well as configuring your address book, move your camera, adjust the volume, and place the video calls The Remote Control
5. S-Video Composite Cable
All you should need to operate the POLYCOM ViewStation SP with the typical Television Monitor setup is the yellow S-video composite cable. S-Video Composite Cable
6. The LAN Cable
The ViewStation SP only connects to a Local Area Network (LAN). The LAN Cable
7. Foam Ring and SP Unit Lens Cap
