Beyond HTML

The Beyond HTML-ITS course is designed for Web Designers who have acquired intermediate-level skills in web page creation and are looking for tools to take their pages to the next level—interactivity. We will examine the capabilities of several tools which can help you create interactive and sophisticated elements for your web pages. Once we¿ve examined the tools available, you will know what steps to take to learn the tool(s) that are most appropriate for your web development needs. Tools introduced are JavaScript, DHTML, CGI/Perl, Cold Fusion, and Java.

Best Practices of Web Design

This course pulls all of the web design principles taught in previous Web Certification classes together to give a comprehensive overview of good web design. After reviewing the Web Design Guidelines and critiquing existing sites, you'll be asked to use Dreamweaver to convert an existing web site that does not conform to the Guidelines to one that is easy to navigate and maintain.
