Self-Help Training

The following self-help training options are available only to students, faculty, and staff of the University of Virginia.

Computer-Based E-Learning with SkillSoft

The University's Human Resources Employee Development office offers Web-based training and professional development offerings (E-Learning) through the SkillSoft Corporation.

The UVa HR SkillSoft website provides unlimited and anytime access to over 3000 interactive courses covering business and professional development, desktop applications, IT applications, general IT concepts and IT.

Online Video Courses

ITS provides access to more than 400 online video courses through the Virtual Training Company (VTC). To watch VTC’s online courses, you must have Quicktime installed on your computer. To begin viewing courses, request an account from ITS Training Services: send an email to vtc-online@virginia.edu and include your name, UVa Computing ID, your school or department, and your phone number.
