ITS Training Services

Instructor-led Training

ITS Training Services offers formal classroom training in popular software packages and certification topic areas. Each spring we host our increasingly popular Office Technology Conference, a day-long festival of technical how-to and professional networking opportunities.

Student Training
Informal instructor-led classes designed specifically for students. Register through UVa Human Resource Employee Development; call (434) 243-5998 or go online.
Byte Size Seminars
Byte Size classes are 1.5-2 hour hands-on workshops on a tool/tip/trick.
Software Training Classes
Provided by ITS Training Services to faculty, staff, and students and administered by the UVa Human Resources Employee Development.
Computing Survival Skills
A certification program that trains UVa staff members in basic computing skills so they can provide effective computer support within their departments as a Local Support Associate.
Web Certification
A program that provides training and skills needed to create and maintain Web pages in the University environment.
Training of Technical Trainers
A 4-day workshop designed for people who have been involved in technical training, but who lack an apprenticeship in training theory, design, and delivery.
