Many telephone headsets are compatible with the Polycom VVX telephones, however compatibility should
not be assumed. Each department is responsible for ensuring their headsets are compatible or for obtaining
compatible headsets at department expense. Some headsets may require an adapter cable in order to be
used with Polycom VVX telephones, and if so, this again would be a departmental expense.
All Polycom VVX telephones come with an RJ9 headset jack. Most headsets with an RJ-9 connector should work,
but this is not guaranteed.
The Polycom VVX telephones also support Electronic Hookswitch (EHS). This feature requires a specific

The Polycom VVX 500 telephone has a USB port and supports most USB headsets and Bluetooth headsets with a
USB adapter. Plantronics Voyager PRO UC and Logitech H800 are examples of Bluetooth headsets that come with a
USB adapter. Again, compatibility is not guaranteed.
