LabVIEW Availability

LabVIEW 2010 (or version 8.6.x) is available for distribution to all UVa faculty, staff, and graduate students. Undergraduates who want to install LabView on their personal computers must purchase the Student Edition. The University has a license for an unlimited number of teaching and research installations for the LabVIEW Professional Development System as well as all the add-on toolsets. LabVIEW 8.6.1 is available in ITS's public labs.

The LabVIEW 2010 Professional Development System for the Windows (XP/Vista/Windows7), Mac OS X and Linux platforms is available for checkout on DVDs from the Scholar's Lab in Alderman Library.

The serial number required for LabVIEW installation can be obtained from the ITS Software Licensing Webpage. LabVIEW 2010 requires an additional activation over the Internet from National Instruments (NI) (further information on NI product activation).
