Installation of Fedora Linux (2010)

The Linux Install Server, linuxload.itc.virginia.edu, is used to install Fedora via HTTP. Installation instructions in ???where???? are generic. These instructions include links when there are necessary modifications, generally by Fedora version.

Post-install Modifications

All installations should be followed by the recommended post-install instructions ???Where??? that insure a minimum of security. Failure to sufficiently secure your Linux computer may result in your being blocked from the network.

Updates

RPMs are available on linuxload.itc.virginia.edu in the directory:

/export/Fedoraversion_number/updates/cpu_architecture/

for versions 11 and 12. Refer to the document Mounting File Systems for details on syntax.
