Windows Media Player Bandwidth Configuration
The default Windows Media Player (WMP) connection speed is the preferred setting for accessing the WTJU network broadcast. If your connection does not work, please check this setting.
Note 1: These images are from version 9. Subsequent versions have different graphics, but function similarly.
Note 2: The version currently available for the Macintosh requires OS X version 10.4 or later and Quicktime version 7.0 or later.
- First, if you have changed the appearance of
WMP so that the menu bar is hidden, click on the button in the upper left corner
to restore the menus view.

- If you have the WMP in Skin Mode you'll need to restore it to Full View by
clicking on the Return to Full Mode button. The location of this button varies
depending on which skin you are using. In the "Miniplayer" skin (below
left) it is on the lower right. In the "Radio" skin (below right) it
is on the upper left. There are a lot of skins, and the placement of the button
was an aesthetic decision.

- Once WMP is in Full Mode with the menus visible, choose Tools.

- Then select Options from the pull-down menu.

- Click on the Performance tab.

- Be sure the first radio button labeled Detect connection
speed
is chosen. This is the default setting, and is most compatible with use of other
audio and video streaming sources on the Web.
