Information about Accessing the Internet at UVa
ITS’s Role in Network Access
ITS provides and maintains the network infrastructure—for both “wired” Ethernet connections and wireless ones—which allows computer users on-Grounds at UVa access to University resources and the Internet.
Students, faculty, and staff wishing to obtain access to the UVa network from off-Grounds must contract with a third-party Internet Service Provider (ISP).
