The Integrated System

Frequently Asked Questions about Single Sign-on (SSO)

Starting January 15, 2017, portions of the Integrated System, including Employee/Manager Self-Service (Time/Leave, Payslips, W-2s) and HR/Finance Administrative, were placed behind NetBadge. You may hear this alternately referred to as the Integrated System going to or behind Single Sign-on (SSO).

Troubleshooting Access Issues — "I Can't Get In to Self-Service"

Passwords

What password do I use to get into the Integrated System Employee and Manager Self-Service after the go-live on Sunday, January 15, 2017?
You use your NetBadge credentials — your UVA computing ID and password.
What Is NetBadge?

When a website, service, or application at the University of Virginia needs to know your identity, it automatically redirects you to authenticate via NetBadge first, before granting you access. NetBadge protects many websites and resources on the UVA network. All traffic and actions on the UVA network are subject to University policies. By connecting to the University's network, you acknowledge and consent to these terms.

See how to log into NetBadge:

What password do I use to perform administrative functions in the Integrated System and do I still need to use my iKey and VPN after Sunday, January 15, 2017?
You use your NetBadge credentials for administrative functions in the Integrated System and you will still need to continue to use your iKey and VPN for access to Integrated System administrative functions, like GL, Grants, Procurement, AP, AR, LD, and HR.
What password do I use for ODS and Production Discoverer access after go-live on January 15?
For Discoverer, whether you are accessing ODS or Production, you use your current Integrated System userid and password. This is the same userid and password you are using up to Jan. 15, 2017 to get into the Integrated System. You will need to continue to use your iKey and VPN to run Discoverer reports.
What if don't remember my Discoverer password?
You will need to call the UVA Help Desk (434-924-4357) and they will assist with helping you, along with the Access Management team, in setting up a new password.
How do I sign up for 2-Step Login to protect my personal information, like my W-2s?
Please visit the 2-Step Login website. You will need NetBadge credentials to access this site.

Troubleshooting Access Issues

I get an error message that says something like "This is a bad request!"
Clear your cache, close your browser. Reopen your browser and try again.
You can also try "private browsing" in your browser of choice.
I get a 404 error message.
If you see something like this:
Error 404--Not Found

From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:

10.4.5 404 Not Found

The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is
given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.

If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the
status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code
SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism,
that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.
Clear your cache, close your browser. Reopen your browser and try again.
