Billing Information
Links to Information about Communication Services Billing
- Overview of the Billing Model: ITS Communication Services bills departments for telephone services according to a cost recovery “headcount” IT funding model. Each of the University's Major Business Units (MBUs) receives an annual bill for telephone services based on the number of employees in its area. Costs for more specialized services that are not widely used across all departments, such as automatic call distribution and specialized telephone peripherals, are charged individually.
- Rates for Standard UVa Communication Outlets: This rates table explains which items are included with a standard UVa Communication Outlet, which consists of three jacks for use with telephone and Ethernet (data/network), and an optional fourth jack for television services.
- Billing Lookup: Look up billing information based on PTAO, ORG Code(s), or telephone number. Output is available in a PDF and downloadable in other formats for import into Excel and other similar tools. Equipment included in the “headcount model” will display a charge amount of $0.00. All other equipment not included in the headcount model will display the actual monthly fee.
